I was determined to be a dietitian ever since I gained the passion for nutrition and health when I was 11 years old. I come from a family of health professionals (doctors, pharmacists, dentists), but I always knew I wanted to be involved in preventative medicine. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune digestive disease at a young age and dealt with many nutrition-related issues; however this provided me with the opportunity to gain more knowledge, experience and passion to help others heal using food as a form of medicine.

Andrea was born and raised on the Island of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Before moving to London, Ontario, she completed her undergraduate degree in Applied Human Nutrition (BScAHN) with a minor in psychology at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax. From a young age, she knew she wanted to make an impact on the health of others. Through her own personal health journey, she has experienced the powerful benefits of nutrition on both the body and mind.


Navreeti Sharma  –MScFN – Registered Dietitian

Nav's passion for nutrition comes from growing up in a vegetarian family - where picky eaters are even pickier. A balanced and healthy lifestyle, even as a vegetarian child, meant knowing more about what was on her plate.

 

As co-founder of Nutrition Professionals of Canada, Nav works with people from all walks of life including everyday heroes and professional athletes to help them achieve their nutrition goals – no matter how tough these goals may seem at the beginning.

 

She is recognized for her natural ability to motivate through education and takes great interest in empowering others by helping them to better understand themselves and their relationship with food. In part, this means translating science-based nutrition information into simple, practical terms that can be applied into everyday life - such as recognizing triggers that can work against us and how to modify their effects.

"An improved you begins with what you eat," she teaches, and her personalized approach starts with understanding where her clients are, where they want to be and creating realistic goals together to get them there - with plenty of support and guidance along the way, of course. One of her biggest joys is seeing her clients embrace their own transformation journey and realize their own potential to reach a more mindful, long-lasting and balanced lifestyle. 

 

Nav holds undergraduate degrees in Biology (BSc) and Nutrition and Dietetics (HBSc), and a Master of Science in Foods and Nutrition (MScFN) from Western University.

 

She also contributes regularly to community education, school board nutrition initiatives and workplace health and wellness programs.

Lisa Cianfrini –MScFN – Registered Dietitian

Lisa’s passion for yummy, healthy foods began at a young age and cultivated with the influence of her uber-health conscious mother, bake-master grandmother, and Italian food extraordinaire nonna. After initially starting a degree in biochemistry and genetics, Lisa completed a BSc Honours degree in Nutrition and Nutraceutical sciences from the University of Guelph as well as a BSc Honours degree in Food and Nutrition from Brescia University College, and has graduated from their MSc Foods & Nutrition program. 

Since 2003, Lisa has been working in the health and fitness field with various organizations and before graduating from the Master’s program, began working with Nutrigenomix Inc., a University of Toronto spinoff biotechnology company that offers a genetic testing service for personalized nutrition, exclusively for use by registered dietitians. Lisa is also a part-time professor in foods and nutrition at Brescia University College (affiliate of Western University) and is a consulting dietitian, practicing through her company NutriGeneRD in Toronto and London Ontario. She specializes in personalized nutrition for optimal health and disease prevention, fat-loss counselling and sports nutrition.

Lisa’s goal is to reach the masses and enable them to make healthy choices, as well as promote the field of dietetics. Lisa is a regular speaker for various organizations, including Nutrigenomix, Canfit Pro, Rev3K, Revolution Conditioning, Empower and the Running Room and is a regular contributor to media activities. She also is involved in many professional networks and is the Ontario Rep for Consulting Dietitians Network.
